Fees & Funding

Session fees and payment

Session Fees & Payment

Our standard session fee is $230. You do not need a referral to book an appointment.

When you book your first appointment, we will ask you to store a card securely on file through our practice software. Your card is charged 48 hours before each appointment, so there is nothing to organise on the day, and your session time is fully confirmed in advance.

Medicare and private health

Medicare & Private Health

If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual sessions each calendar year. Rebate amounts are set by Medicare and updated each July, so we will confirm the current rebate and your exact out-of-pocket cost before your first appointment. No surprises.

If you have private health cover with extras for psychology, you may be able to claim a portion of your session fee through your fund. Note that you cannot claim both Medicare and private health for the same session, so it is worth checking which works out better for you.

NDIS, workers compensation and other funding

NDIS, Workers' Compensation & Other Funding

  • NDIS: we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. Invoices are provided in line with NDIS requirements. [Pending team decision on pricing approach; copy unaffected.]
  • Workers' compensation: we are registered providers in New South Wales (SIRA) and Queensland. With an approved claim, sessions are billed directly to the insurer at scheme rates, with no cost to you.
  • EAP, insurance & other third parties: we accept third-party-funded arrangements for a range of needs. To offer services under these agreements, we require an approval letter from the third-party funding your sessions.
  • Assessments and reports: fees for psychometric assessment and report writing are quoted individually, based on what is involved. Contact us to discuss what you need.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens, and sometimes you will need to change an appointment. We ask for at least 48 hours' notice so the time can be offered to another client if suitable.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee.
  • For appointments funded by a third party (such as NDIS or an EAP), late cancellations are charged at the full session rate.
  • If something genuinely out of your control comes up, talk to us. Fee waivers for exceptional circumstances are at your practitioner's discretion.
