Individual Therapy

We know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and it is often one that people put off for a long time. That is a very human thing to do. Therapy offers a structured, supportive space to understand what is going on and to work on what actually helps.

We work with adolescents and adults across a broad range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, depression and other mood-related difficulties
  • Stress, burnout and workplace challenges
  • School, study and the pressures of early adulthood
  • Trauma and PTSD, including complex trauma
  • ADHD and autism in teens and adults
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Personality disorders, including borderline personality disorder
  • Alcohol, substance use and gambling concerns
  • Bipolar and other affective disorders
  • More complex presentations, including high distress, chronic suicidal ideation, and experiences such as hearing voices or unusual beliefs
  • Physical symptoms connected to stress and emotional health
  • Major life adjustments, such as illness, injury, separation or job loss
  • Relationship difficulties, self-esteem and confidence

We are experienced in supporting people with complex and acute mental health presentations. If that is your situation, we will always talk openly with you about how best to structure your support and what needs to be in place around you.

Our psychologists draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), EMDR, interpersonal psychotherapy, solution-focused therapy and trauma-informed approaches, tailored to each person and to what they want from therapy.

For younger clients, we involve parents and carers where that is helpful and appropriate. Children are seen on a case-by-case basis, so please get in touch to discuss what your child needs.

Psychological Assessment & Reports

Alongside therapy, we provide psychometric assessment and report writing. Assessments are conducted by a registered psychologist using established, validated measures, and every assessment ends with a clear report written for the people who need to read it.

  • Diagnostic assessments: structured assessment to clarify what is going on and inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Cognitive functioning assessments: assessment of thinking, memory and learning to support NDIS, WorkCover, GP and legal referrals.
  • Functional capacity assessments: practical assessment of day-to-day functioning and support needs, including reports for NDIS planning and reviews.

If you are a GP, support coordinator, insurer or legal representative, please visit our Contact and Referrals page to discuss your needs and our current availability.

Workers' Compensation, NDIS and Other Funded Supports

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist, but if your support is funded through a scheme or program, we work with a range of pathways:

  • Workers' compensation: we are registered providers for workers' compensation referrals in Queensland and New South Wales (SIRA), supporting recovery and return to work after workplace injury.
  • NDIS: therapy and assessment for self-managed and plan-managed participants, including reports to support planning and reviews.
  • Medicare: clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP may be eligible for Medicare rebates.
  • Private health insurance: rebates may be available depending on your level of cover.
  • EAP and other referrers: we welcome enquiries from employee assistance programs, insurers and legal representatives.

Sessions are available by secure video call or phone, and once you book, we will send you everything you need, including intake and consent forms, before your first session.
